After a recent made by Sportico, the top ten highest paid footballers have been released. The numbers are projections and are based off of a combined number between their endorsements and player salaries from their clubs.

Football is changing in a drastic way and it is clear that salaries have gotten larger and larger over the years. The top earning players have generally stayed the same over the years however. Messi and Ronaldo are still near the top of the list, meanwhile Mbappe’s new contract with Paris Saint Germain leaves him at number one.
Additionally three of the top four highest paid players are from PSG. Meanwhile four of the top ten players on the list play in the English Premier League.

1. Kylian Mbappe (PSG)
The young French superstar tops the list after signing a blockbuster contract renewal with PSG, that kept him away from Real Madrid this past summer.
Mbappe will be making $105 million in salary from his club team, and $20 million from endorsements.
2. Cristiano Ronaldo (Manchester United)
The Manchester United superstar who once topped the list in the past is the highest paid player in the Premier League. Cristiano Ronaldo his built up his own personal brand to the point where his endorsements are greater than his team salary.
The Portuguese international will be making $53 million from his club, and $60 million from endorsements.
3. Lionel Messi (PSG)
After signing for PSG last season, Lionel Messi is the second highest paid player on the team this season. Messi once topped this list in the past, but now finds himself third on the list.
Messi will be receiving a $62 million salary, and $48 million from endorsements.
4. Neymar (PSG)
The third player PSG player to crack into the top ten highest paid footballers is Neymar. The Brazilian attacker moved from Barcelona to PSG in the 17/18 season for a record breaking transfer fee. Neymar also recently changed his boot sponsor from Nike to Puma in recent years.
Neymar will be getting $56 million from PSG, and $35 million from endorsements.
5. Mohamed Salah (Liverpool)
Mohamed Salah is the second highest paid Premier League player, and recently signed a new deal with his club Liverpool to put him into the top five on the list.
Liverpool’s main man has made a name for himself in recent years and has been part of Jurgen Klopp’s revitalization of the club.
Salah will be getting paid $24.5 million from the reds, and an additional $15 million from endorsements.

6. Eden Hazard (Real Madrid)
Eden Hazard is the highest paid player in La Liga, and the highest paid player on his club Real Madrid. Though his time at Real Madrid has not been what we expected, he was able to win the Champions League last season (though not playing).
Hazard will be getting paid $28.6 million from the club and $2.5 million in endorsements.
7. Andres Iniesta (Vissel Kobe)
The Barcelona and Spanish legend is the oldest player on the list, and the only one not playing in a top 5 league. Andres Iniesta currently plays in the J1 League, but still makes it into the top ten of the list.
Iniesta will be paid a salary of $23 million, and $7 million from endorsements.
8. Raheem Sterling (Chelsea)
After signing for Chelsea this past summer, Raheem Sterling will be paid higher than all of his former and current teammates. Sterling also becomes the third highest paid player in the Premier League.
He will make $21.4 million from the London based club, and $8 million from endorsements.
9. Kevin De Bruyne (Manchester City)
Manchester City’s main man cracks into the top ten highest paid players, and is the only one of City’s players to be in the top ten.
KDB will be earnings $25.5 million from his club, and $3.5 million from endorsements.
10. Antoine Griezmann (On loan to Atletico Madrid)
On loan from Barcelona to Atletico Madrid, he returns to his past club.
Griezmann will be paid $22 million in salary, and $5.5 million from endorsements this season.
