After winning the Champions League with Chelsea in 2020, and making over 200 appearances for the Blues, the Italian midfielder is set to swap from North London to West London.
During the 31-year-old’s run with Chelsea he became one of the world’s most outstanding midfielders, helping them win the Champions League during a tumultuous 2020 and followed that up by leading his country to a Euro 2021 win with stellar performances on route to the Finals.
His performances in 2020 and 2021 led him to be named UEFA’s Male Player of the Year in 2021.
Jorginho will be looking to help supplement Arsenal’s midfield alongside the likes of Thomas Partey and Grant Xhaka who will most likely become his most direct competition for minutes going down the final stretch of the 2022/23 season.
Arsenal have already completed the signings of forward Leandro Brossard from Brighton and defender Jakub Kiwior from Spezia for a combined €50 million as they look to finish strong amidst a title charge.
The Gunners are currently five points clear at the top of the table with a game in hand on Manchester City as they look to win their first League title since 2003.
