To the shock of none, Dutch and PSV star Cody Gakpo has been signed by Liverpool for a fee of £37m. The Dutch winger gained much attention at the end of the 21/22 season but ended up staying in the Eredivisie for the past season. However after an impressive World Cup performance, Gakpo finally gets his move.

Klopp’s Liverpool are in dire need of another attacking option given the injuries to Diogo Jota, and Luis Diaz. Adding Gakpo is a move done now to ensure that the hole is filled up for this season, while also making sure the team has depth and a successor for coming seasons.

Gakpo is currently only 23 years old and already has 72 goals in only 185 appearances. But at the 2022 Qatar World Cup, the winger had 3 goals in 5 goals.
