In what is a record fee paid by Newcastle, and a record sell from Real Sociedad, the 22 year old Swedish striker will be moving to the Premier League.
The fee looks to be about €70m.
Alexander Isak has scored 77 goals in 192 games in his club career. 44 of them with Real Sociedad.
Isak’s young promising professional football career started back in 2016 when competing in the Allsvenskan (Tier 1 Sweden), before moving to Borussia Dortmund.
At Dortmund, Isak failed to break into the starting eleven, and was sent on loan. Though Isak never scored for Dortmund, he eventually found his way to Spain when he got his move to Real Sociedad.
Isak got his first major call up during Euro 2020, when Sweden put his name on the 26 man roster for the tournament.
The young striker still projects to be a high quality striker, given his size and ability to score.
Alexander Isak will also be part of the new project led by Eddie Howe, to rebuild the Magpies, once they were bought out by the Public Investment Fund.
The PIF is one of the largest sovereign wealth funds in the world. The PIF was created in 1971 on behalf of the government of Saudi Arabia to invest.
