Wolves Sign Goncalo Guedes from Valencia

In what can be considered a great move for the club, Wolverhampton Wolves have signed Portuguese attacker Goncalo Guedes from Spanish side Valencia for a fee worth about £35m.

With the injury to Wolves start striker Jimenez sidelined, and Fabio Silva leaving on a loan. This would leave Podence, Hee-Chang, and Neto as the only attackers on the team. Thus demonstrating a significant lack of offensive depth for the time being.

However, signing Guedes changes this and adds much more offence to the upcoming Premier League side.

Wolves are no stranger to signing players from Portugal, as they have Ruben Neves, Joao Mouthino, and Nelson Semedo, along with Podence on the team already. Guedes finding comfort from teammates shouldn’t be a struggle.

Guedes is able to play as a ring winger, or even a striker, however it is clear that he is most comfortable on the left wing. What this means for Wolves is that Guedes adds depth to all sides of the offensive third.
