In what looks to be one of the best bargain deals of the summer, Arsenal have sold goalkeeper Bernd Leno to Fullham on a transfer that looks to be about £8m.
Leno was purchased by Arsenal for the 2018/2019 season for a fee of about £28m. Since then, the German goalkeeper has appeared in 101 Premier League matches.
The now 30 year old goalkeeper has been on a slight decline in recent years, but still can contribute a lot to his new home in west London.
What this transfer means for Arsenal is that it seems like this confirms that Aaron Ramsdale will be the keeper going forward, as he did receive more playtime compared to Leno last season.
Though Arsenal are moving on from an experienced goalkeeper, they have Ramsdale who is on the come up. Meanwhile Fullham get a fantastic shot stopper that has many years of experience.
This transfer looks like it was a perfect match for all of the parties involved.
