Saturday 27 November
Arsenal v. Newcastle- 7:30 EST
Arsenal look to bounce back from a disappointing 4-0 drubbing at the hands of Liverpool last week when they return to the Emirates to take on Newcastle. Eddie Howe will be taking the reins at Newcastle for the first time since he was hired on November 8, but was unable to be on the touchline last week in a 3-3 draw with Brentford due to a positive COVID-19 test result.
Score Prediction: Arsenal 3- 2 Newcastle
Crystal Palace v. Aston Villa- 10:00 EST
Crystal Palace are unbeaten in their last 7 games and currently sit 10th in the table as Patrick Vieira’s side are coming off a 3-3 draw with Burnley last Saturday. Aston Villa are looking to build on their 2-0 win over Brighton last weekend as two late goals from Watkins and Mings gave Steven Gerrard a debut win in charge of the Villains.
Score Prediction: Crystal Palace 1-1 Aston Villa
Liverpool v. Southampton- 10:00 EST
Liverpool are coming into this weekend rolling after a 4-0 win over Arsenal last Saturday and a 2-0 win over Porto in the UCL, as Liverpool look to keep their title chances high as Ralph Hassenhuttl’s side travel to Anfield following a 2-1 loss to relegation threatened Norwich last week. Hassenhuttl’s side are coming in with a very stingy defensive record, as the Saints have only conceded three more goals than the the Reds as they sit tied for fifth in that category, while the Reds lead the league in goals scored.
Score Prediction: Liverpool 2-0 Southampton
Norwich v. Wolverhampton- 10:00 EST
Norwich will be looking to make it three consecutive Premier League wins following the hiring of manager Dean Smith earlier in the month after previous manager Daniel Farke left the team rooted to the bottom of the table with only two points before his dismissal. This will be no easy task as they take on a Wolves team who has only conceded 12 goals as of this matchweek leaving them with the best defensive record of teams not in a European position. Norwich will be looking to add to their abysmal goal return after four goals in their last two fixtures have nearly doubled their goal return for the season.
Score Prediction: Norwich 1-1 Wolverhampton
Brighton v. Leeds- 12:30 EST
After a blistering start to the season and winning four of their first five fixtures Brighton are looking to win their first game since a 2-1 win over Leicester on Sept. 19, with a run that includes draws with the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool, but also losses to City and Villa. Leeds travel to the Amex Stadium with Marcelo Bielsa’s side just two points above Burnley for the final relegation spot after losing 2-1 to Tottenham last weekend, leaving Leeds with just one win in their last five games and five defeats in 12 games this season.
Score Prediction: Brighton 1-2 Leeds
Sunday 28 November
Brentford v. Everton- 9:00 EST
Both teams are coming into this weekend looking to change their seasons fortunes around as Everton are winless in their past six games, with four losses and two draws in that time as Rafa Benitez and his squad travel to London to play newly promoted Brentford who started out the season on fire with three wins and three draws in their first seven games but have slowly tailed off since in the clubs first top flight appearance since 1947.
Score Prediction: Brentford 2-3 Everton
Burnley v. Spurs- 9:00 EST
Spurs are looking to put an embarrassing 2-1 loss to Slovenian side Mura in the Europa Conference League on Thursday behind them as Antonio Conte and his side are looking to continue in their winning ways following a 2-1 win against Leeds last Sunday. Burnley are coming into the weekend sitting in a relegation spot as Sean Dyche’s side have only picked up one win all season and sitting near the bottom of the league in goals conceded, which is very uncharacteristic for a Dyche led Burnley side over the past half decade.
Score Prediction: Spurs 2-0 Burnley
Leicester v. Watford- 9:00 EST
Leicester City are in a poor run of form for a team that had European ambitions to start the season, but will be rewarded for this weekend as striker Jamie Vardy is set to return to the squad after spending time out of the squad due to injury as Brendan Rodger’s team following a 3-0 loss at the hands of Chelsea last weekend. Watford are looking to improve on a famous 4-1 win against Manchester United on Saturday, forcing Ole Gunnar Solskajer to be sacked. It will be tough for the Hornet’s however as they will be without star winger Ismaila Sarr for the game.
Score Prediction: Leicester 2-1 Watford
Manchester City v. West Ham 9:00 EST
Manchester City look to keep pace with league leaders Chelsea as they play host to David Moyes’ West Ham team who currently sit fourth after a blistering start to the season and with only one loss in their last nine games in all competitions, look to have this game on as a potential game of the weekend.
Score Prediction: Manchester City 3- 2 West Ham
Chelsea v. Manchester United- 11:30 EST
The final match of the weekend also looks to be one of the most intriguing ones. Following a 4-1 loss to Watford last Saturday and a dismal run of form as of late Manchester United look to be in another period of transition after they sacked Solskjaer and hired highly touted German coach Ralf Rangnick as their interim coach until season’s end. This era of United football will have to be put on hold as Michael Carrick will be in charge of his second, and potentially final game for the Red Devils following a visa delay for the German. Thomas Tuchel’s side look to stay on the summit of the league table for another week and following a 3-0 win to Leicester in the league last Saturday and a massive 4-0 win against Juventus in the UCL, Chelsea are looking to take advantage of their wounded foe this weekend as the race for the top keeps heating up.
